Help
How this application works, and how to report something that does not.
Reporting anything — quote the screen number
Every screen carries a number in the top right: DK-05,
MD-09. Quote it and the report lands on the right work
without anybody having to describe what they were looking at. A
number is permanent — it is never reassigned to a different screen.
Signing in
Staff sign in with their own Google account. CBS holds no password for you, which is why there is nowhere in this application to change one — there is nothing to change.
Access is a roll your hospital administrator keeps, on
DK-24. Being added to it is what lets your Google
account in; being turned off is what stops it, at the next sign-in,
whoever holds the account. Anything you have already written keeps
your name on it.
If sign-in is refused and you believe it should not be, the person to ask is your own administrator, not CBS.
The dots in the menu
A dot beside a menu item means the screen behind it is not finished, and hovering it says what is missing. This is deliberate: an item that opens a screen with nothing behind it should admit that in the menu rather than after the click.
- No dot — the screen works and the API behind it checks who you are.
- Amber — the screen works, but the permission it implies is not enforced by the server.
- Grey — there is no endpoint yet. The screen says what is missing.
- Red — it cannot be built yet, and the screen says what has to exist first.
Getting around faster
- Ctrl K opens the go-to box and searches every destination in the menu.
- Escape closes whatever is open — the box, then the menu drawer.
- The language picker in the top bar changes the whole application and is remembered on this device. Nine languages ship.
- On a phone the four buttons along the bottom are the ones used most; everything else is under More.
Patient data, briefly
Every read of a patient record is logged with who did it and why —
including a read made from this application. The log holds
identifiers and never names, and an administrator can see it on
DK-25.
Consent is recorded per purpose, so a patient who agreed to treatment has not thereby agreed to reminders or to research use. Do not put a patient's name into a support report, a ticket, or anything else that leaves the record.
